POSTCARD CAMPAIGNS
Trump is using the military against U.S. citizens, breaking up families, and arresting elected officials for speaking out. After federal immigration raids sparked protests in California, he sent in thousands of National Guard troops without Governor Newsom’s approval. Peaceful demonstrators were tear-gassed. A union leader was arrested. And when elected officials tried to speak out, Trump had them forcibly removed.
These actions are not being met with the urgency they demand by Republican elected officials.
Representatives David Valadao (CA-22), Young Kim (CA-40) and Ken Calvert (CA-41) have remained silent. None of them have condemned the use of military force against civilians. None of them have defended the Californians detained for protesting or speaking out. Their silence signals consent.
Activate America is launching a postcard campaign to reach voters in their districts, urging them to call their Representative and demand action in response to Trump’s escalating authoritarian tactics.
It’s easy to get involved. INCC provides the postcards, instructions, the script to be handwritten on the postcard, and mailing addresses. When we can afford it, we also supply the stamps! Postcards are available in sets of 10. They will be available at our INCC meetings, INCC rallies, and special events. Pick yours up and start making a difference for our country!
