UPCOMING DATES: 8/21 AND 8/26

August 21 – Port Orford City Council – 5:30 pm at City Hall. The Council will discuss the Elk River Property Development’s (golf course development) appeal to reverse the Planning Commission’s denial of their Conditional Use Permit. On June 10th, 2025, the Planning Commission reviewed an extension request from Elk River Property Development (ERPD) on their Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for an effluent pipeline through the City of Port Orford. After hearing from the applicants and citizens and deliberating on the facts presented to them at the meeting, the Planning Commission voted not to grant the extension, for the seventh time since 2017. ERPD is appealing to the Port Orford City Council to review that decision. The Council will decide on Thursday (tonight) whether it will uphold the Planning Commission decision.
The agenda and materials related to the extension (see page 8) are at this link:  https://portorford.org/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/CC-agenda-8.21.2025-1.pdf
