Letters to the Editor Committee (LEC). This is an Indivisible activity with a primary goal of facilitating letters to the editors of newspapers in purple areas that highlight the destruction the Trump Administration and Congressional Republicans are inflicting on our nation and the world. The objective is to make it easy for like-minded folks who live in (or near) purple congressional districts to submit letters to the editors of their local newspapers with their names or other willing people’s names on them. Many newspapers won’t print letters submitted by writers outside of the local area.
How it Works: LEC members who love to write develop “letters to the editor” templates on current topics, so you don’t have to! The templates will be made available on the INCC website, and new letters will be posted as they are developed. Feel free to use these letters yourself, but we hope that you will forward them to your contacts who reside in or near a purple congressional district, with a request that they submit them as letters to the editor of their local papers under their own names. These letters are free to use in their original form, or they can be edited/revised before submission.
