August 19 – Curry County Board of Commissioners Business Meeting
All meetings are located at 94235 Moore Street, Gold Beach, Oregon, (Annex Building), in the Hearing Room. August 21 – Port Orford City Council – Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Gable Council Chambers at City Hall. Agenda and packets are normally available on Tuesday before the meeting. You can access them HERE. Be on the lookout for an appeal for a pipeline conditional use permit affecting the golf course development. The Planning Commission has already denied this twice.
August 26 – Port Orford Senior Center – Caroline Rice, Operations Assistant at the OSU Port Orford Field Station, will discuss this important community resource. Cuts in federal funding will directly impact the facility, and its future remains uncertain.
